MCP Server
An MCP server is the program that lets ChatGPT or Claude actually do something for a user, like book a meeting, instead of just talking about you.
An MCP server is a small piece of software that gives an AI assistant real actions to run.
Plain version: ChatGPT or Claude can only chat on its own. An MCP server hands it buttons it can press, like "check availability" or "book a demo." When the assistant decides to act, it calls your server, your server does the work, and the answer comes back inside the chat.
It speaks the Model Context Protocol, a shared language so any assistant (mcp client) can use any server. The actions it exposes are tools.
Why it matters for the ChatGPT funnel
Showing up in an answer is not the same as winning the deal.
The buyer has to leave the chat, find your site, and start over. Most don't. An MCP server closes that gap: the meeting gets booked in the same conversation where intent peaked. That's the difference between being mentioned and being chosen.
How drio fits
drio is the MCP server, built for one job: turning AI-search demand into booked, pay-per-lead pipeline. You don't host or maintain anything. You point at your offer and the booking flow runs inside the chat for you.
